A canister for holding desiccant beads that can fit into the centre of filament spools.
So far I have only made canisters for spools with 52mm and 55mm diameter centres. Each size has two different lids. One that is meant to be paired with a hygrometer and one without. I have also made a funnel for filling them.
The desiccant beads should be 3mm or larger so they don't slip through the holes. I have been using activated alumina for the desiccant and so far it has been working quite a bit better than silica gel.
Because the hygrometers are mounted inside the canister, they will read low for a while until the desiccant and air reach equilibrium.
