I have a floor standing microphone arm and I don't have enough space next to my desk to fully unfold the feet, so it was very unstable. I created this desk clamp to hold the mic arm in one spot next to the desk that allowed me to swivel it out of the way when not in use.
My desktop is 3cm tall, so I made the clamp 4cm tall. I made some small changes to the printed model you see in the picture.
1. I made the big bolt 0,5cm longer so it could work on thinner desks.
2. I made the diameter of the hole for the mic arm 20mm originally to match the pipe, but I increased it to 22mm for a little more clearance.
3. I made the little flanges that the small long bolt goes through slightly thinner so that it could more easily thread into the nut and clamp down on the arm.
I have a screenshot of my slicer and the orientation I printed it in, which helps with the strength of the clamp on the desk but it makes the clamp around the arm weaker. I'm not good enough at cad modelling yet to separate the parts with some sort of dovetail to print in different orientations and combine afterwards, so it is what it is.
