I have no idea why on UPS that work 24/7 manufacturers still doing bright displays that are not turning off after some time.
The LCD on PowerShield Defender 600 is very bright during nights so I modelled a simple cover for the screen and button and attached it to the UPS using two sided sticky tape (it should be 1mm or thicker).
OrcaSlicer 3mf project file with settings I used for printing and STEP file are included.
I printed it on Elegoo Neptune 4 in black Jayo PLA+ (grey that I tried not blocking all the light) with the following settings:
- No supports
- Layer height 0.2mm
- Line width 0.6mm
- Infill 15%
- Temperatures 220/60
- Speed ~120mm/s
P.S This is my first print in place design with moving parts so it is highly possible that it could be done better. However it works fine for my application.
