The Quick Mill Portafilter Tamper station
I created this design to fit my Quick Mill (2835) portafilter. I'm using a single coffee outlet on the bottom of the portrafilter which makes it stable when I tamper the coffee. Besides that, its just a nice object to have next to my coffee machine ;)
I raised the portafilter just a bit from the upper surface as I want to use WDT (umikot) in the near future
STL → The object is build up from several bodies:
- letters (white)
- main body (red) consist of two objects.
- body 1
- body 2 → to assign a ‘fuzzy skin
Printing
- Material: I printed the part with tough PLA (PLA+). PETG might also be a good option. PLA works for me quite good until now using it for over 1.5 years.
- Infill: I used an infill of 20%, but if this really nessecary, I'm not sure. Could be less too.
- Slicer:
- Import the STL as one object
- Split into parts (objects/parts stay in place
- Assign one color to the main bodies (red in my case)
- Assign one other color the letter-boddies (white in my case)
- I added a fuzzy skin to the ‘middle body’ to give some extra Import the STL as one object
Please let me know if you print this nice tamper station too as part of your coffee tool set. I'm curious what you think.
Have fun!
