[WIP] Im building it but it should all fit. Will post results when im done printing and building it.
A overhead camera jig.
For overhead viewing angles, if you are for example:
- Opening trading cards
- Repairing stuff for videos or guides
- unboxing
No rollers are used. Its plastic on metal so it should slide pretty easily.
Feet are printed in two parts, and are NOT interchangeable. Must be glued together with epoxy or something alike to ensure a strong bond. They were split to fit a standard Ender 3 printer.
M3 bolts and nuts are used to attach everything. I included indents in the connector blocks for those that would like to use cir-clips to keep the bolts in place. The bolts are capped off and held in place using small blocks you can friction fit or glue in place.
M3 heat set inserts are used to mount the phone plate to the X axis slider. So if another item needs to be mounted or you get a new phone you can reuse it by just modifying the phone plate.
Note! - recording height is set by the length of square extrusions you are cutting same for the X width. I recommend going a bit overkill on the height and zooming in using the phone camera. So you aren't limited.
Note! - Print out Feet [2] Twice if you DO NOT want a place for an Allan key to be stored using magnets.
Note! - Recommended to add rubber or if you can't felt pads on the bottom of the feet. flexible filaments work perfect also.
Note! - Block can be friction fit into the tubes. but I recommend using epoxy to set them in place. Small pockets are added in the blocks so some epoxy can latch onto the 3d Prints better. Sand the inside of the square extrusion a bit for better adhesion.
