TL;DR: Scroll down to Parts you'll need, print with the appropriate supports, print the main Pool with all of the walls and bottom layer, Happy printing.
This is a a great little modular desktop water feature, I think it looks nice and modern, Intended to be a base for whatever you want to have featured in it. So you can make, decorate or otherwise add whatever you'd like to it. Different feature pieces create vastly different sounds so you can tune the sounds to what you want to hear.
Want to listen to rain drops as you fall asleep? Done!
Want to have the sound of a gentle stream flowing next to your face? DONE!
Want to take a photo of a figurine in the rain? Absolutely!
Want to have a hanging water plant that also trickles water? Well, I've not made one yet, but you can :)
I'll be adding new feature pieces over the next week or 2 as remixes, so only the files for the base (The black and white parts in the photos) will be here.
For those that do like this, first of all thank you, Second, I have made this on Tinkercad, but I will be making a new version (maybe a few variations eg for smaller print beds) on Fusion 360 in a few months time when I've learned how to use it.
I hope you all enjoy this water feature as I do…Now for the gritty bits…
I printed this in PLA, I printed with all walls, set the supports angle to 5 degrees,no fancy settings and it has not leaked and doesn't appear to be taking on water in 5 or 6 days of testing, I will update this part if it does.
Parts you'll need
(These links are for reference, I use them because I know they're likely to be good links in a years time I recommend buying them from your local retailer if you have the capability and funds).
- 1x Any water feature pump
(This is nice and quiet but weak, or this one is loud and annoying but has better water volume. some pumps have an LED on a wire with them which gives a nice effect sometimes.) - 1 or 2 O-ring 14mm x 2.5mm
(These are optional, but it will drip in to the tray if you don't use them) I recommend getting an assorted box, they're like 7 bucks from Bunnings if you want to play with different feature pieces). - 6mm OD or 10mm ID PVC tubing
(whatever your pump prefers) Send me a message and I'll be happy to make different sizes on request or feel free to remix :).
If you've read this far than I appreciate you :) Happy printing!
