This is a clone of a Sram AXS battery used in derailleurs and seat posts. I use this when I take my battery out to charge or for transport so that the latch isn't hanging loose. The hole in the back is for attaching a string/rope/flag so that it is obvious the battery is not installed (so I hopefully won't leave home without the battery!).
