I bought a Warner 503 ¾" chisel from Amazon and the press fit rivet on the handle was installed incorrectly from the factory (it didn't seat and mashed off to the side making the handle be out of shape and lose). Did I return it? Heck no, I modeled a replacement handle.
Hardware needed:
- 3x M3x12 button head screws (head should be less than 2mm high and 3mm diameter)
- 3x M3x5 heat set inserts
The first print was perfect, so I used quick settings which worked fine. I would have tweaked a bit though if I got to do a final print (noted below). Print settings I used:
- Printed on Prusa Mk4
- PLA (Would've considered PETG for more durability)
- 0.2mm layer height (would have used 0.1mm for smoother fillets)
- 15% infill (would have gone up to increase weigh feel, was plenty strong)
- 2 walls (would've got up to like 4ish for heavier stronger fill)
- 0.4mm nozel
