End stop for Festool track saw tracks and compatible tracks. This can be used to make cuts of a defined length and position. It can also be used with a router. A use examples with a router is in the photos. To be able to make a Festool style knob, the bolt is not in the nut, but inserted into the rail. The nut is enclosed in the knob and has to be inserted during printing.

Print orientation:

  • Print nut holder upside down (nut/bolt hex opening on top)

  • Print endstop upside down (grooves for the rails on top)

  • Print knob in normal orientation (but see note belowPrint orientation:Print orientation:)

Important note for the knob: you have to set a break in the slicer before the first layer covering the nut. Insert the nut and make sure it's flush with the top layer, or a bit below, so the nozzle doesn't crash into the nut. See image below. The pause point is already set in the 3mf file at least when you open it in prusa slicer.

Print settings:

  • 0.4mm nozzle

  • 0.2mm layer height

  • 3 perimeters

  • 5 top and bottom layers

  • 25% infill

  • I used a modified 0.2mm structural profile in prusa slicer for core one

  • I printed using PETG, but many other material should be fine. PLA might be too brittle and break if you have a kickback on a track saw and the saw hits the stop.

Additional items needed

  • m6 hex nut

  • m6x20mm hex bolt (20mm is including the head)

Print at use at your own risk. I take no responsibility for injuries or undesired outcomes resulting from the use of your printed version of this model. I also don't guarantee that it will stop your saw in case of a kickback.
