These adapters are designed to work with the "soft jaws" linked below which are good for doing fine work on suspension fork/shock dampers, etc or other tubular items. You'll still need a bench vice or stand for removing air chambers or any other high torque work. They use 12mm X 3mm magnets to mate with the soft jaws. Holes support 3mm x 8 - 12mm machine screws for their permanent attachment. These attach to the vise with the stock screws. They can also be used by themselves as longer clamps, but being plastic, YMMV.
