If you think it might be fun to was the car or water the garden with a Star Trek type 2 phaser, this project is for you. It is built around an Orbit model 56516 "Pro Flo" garden hose nozzle, making it not only super fun but a legitimately high quality sprayer.
Things you'll need for this build:
Orbit model 56516 garden hose sprayer
Two M4 x 16mm flat-head machine screws
Zip tie, minimum 8" in length
CA glue
CA kicker
Filament:
Black PETG (Bambu PETG HF recommended)
Dark Gray PETG (Bambu PETG HF recommended)
Silver Silk PLA
Gold Silk PLA
Black PLA (only for the color-switch top of the 10-turn knob)
White PLA
Clear PETG
Detailed PDF instructions are included, and I've also put together this build video as a guide.
The 10-turn knob needs to be printed in 2 colors, silk silver PLA and black PLA. Do not attempt to use black PETG for the top as PLA & PETG do not play nicely together. The 3mf contains a properly placed pause in the 10-turn print for a filament swap - AMS users can delete the pause.
The "Display Kit" is also included. The stand is only 3 pieces and pretty easy to figure out, so there are no instructions for that. To use the emitter tip for display, start by rotating the sprayser's nozzle clockwise all the way in, but not too tight. Next, snap the emitter onto the stem in the middle of the nozzle. If the emitter is crooked and/or loose, slowly turn the nozzle counter clockwise until you feel a little resistance - it should only take 1/4 turn or so. This will allow the emitter to stay in position when you adjust it. When you want to use the sprayser for chores, snap the top off and place it in the hole in the middle of the stand post so you don't lose it.
Note: The Orbit 56516 fits on a US 3/4" GHT (garden hose thread). If you are outside of the US, you will most likely need to figure out an adapter.
