Precision symmetrical sharpening system for consistent and repeatable, razor-sharp edges. Two rods leading sharpening stones are mounted on a trapezoid leading right-left screw for precise and symmetrical angle adjustment. All made from printable parts and easily obtainable non-printable parts.

Useful for most kitchen and EDC knives (no serrated blades)

The stone holders are quite tolerant, but there are limits:

• max stone width is 23mm

• max length 162mm

• min thickness 7mm

What's included in STEP / STL files:

• All necessary construciton parts

• Boxes for stones to store in

• Tool box for additional tools

• Attachment for digital inclinometer

• Tightening knobs for knife fastening

• Small tool for installing sleeve bearings

What's not included:

• Right-left trapezoidal lead screw + nuts

• Various M3 screws for the construciton

• Square M3 nuts

• M6 screw and nut for knife fastening

• Smooth straight rods

• Steel backed PTFE sleeve bearing 5x7x10mm (but printable replacement part is available)

What to prepare:

• You will need PETG filament, preferably for all parts

• M3 screws of different lenghts (see parts table below)

• M3 square nuts (see parts table below for their number)

• One M6 screw and one M6 nut for knife fastening.

• Steel backed PTFE sleeve bearing 5x7x10 (see parts table for details)

• Right-left leading screw (see parts table below for details and link to store)

• Smooth straight rods (see parts table for specifications)

• Screwdriver matching your screws

• Pliers for easier square nuts placing

• Compatible sharpening stones (see parts table for details)

• Generic rubber band to be used with the Tools - Storage Tool

Printing recommendation:

• No suports should be needed

• 3 perimeters should be all right, 4 perimeters for Knife Holder

• 20% infill is reommended

• The parts are already oriented the intended way

I suggest to use parts with mouse ears (additional circles to be removed after print) when available, to make sure the warping will be under control. I added them to two parts, Knife Holder and Stone Holder - Base.
