Macro photography stand

When printed in PLA+, surface/fitment quality is better. In the pictures it is printed in PET-CF for durability.

Leg screw holes needs deburring from both sides, the fitment is press/forced at first and then by screwing in and out a bunch of time the fitment will become smooth and easy.

When printing in PET-CF, threads are a bit more coarse and HEX caps have very very tight fitment (here you can experiment with scaling up the caps when printing)

Main plate and feets are printed with supports, and an infill of 45-65%, i choose strength profile in the slicers which gives 6  walls.

Screw legs are printed standing on the hex head, without support, with brim. 45-65% infill

The feet are in two different versions, one that tilts more than the other. The less tilting ones goes on the rear. The feet are pressed  / popped into the cups and motion/smoothness will come with time/usage.

Top, front arm mounting screws (1/4-20) are screwed into place but main screw is held by washer and a c-clip on the top.

Side, arm mounting holes are dimensioned for heat inserts.

Plastic nut for the m5-bolt is drilled after print with a 5mm drillbit and then bolt is pressed/knocked into place with a driving pin. (make sure to have proper support not to break with excessive knocking/hammering)
