Perfect-Fit Dyson Airwrap Adapter Base

While designing a custom 90° concentrator nozzle for the Dyson Airwrap (check out my profile), I needed a reliable mounting adapter. The existing models I found online were only of medium quality, they wobbled, leaked air, or the locking mechanism didn't feel right. So, I decided to engineer my own.

After multiple test prints, I successfully reverse-engineered the ideal geometry. This design creates an airtight seal, a wobble-"free" fit, and easily inserts into the Airwrap with that satisfying "click."

What this is:
This is a "blank canvas" base ring. You can import this STL/STEP into your CAD software of choice and build your own custom diffusers, nozzles, or styling tools directly on top of it, knowing the connection to the Airwrap is already sorted out.

Supports: None needed. The geometry is designed to print without any supports or bridges.

 CRITICAL TEMPERATURE WARNING 

Whatever you decide to build on top of this adapter, keep in mind that the Airwrap gets incredibly hot, and material choice is vital!

• Material: Do NOT use PLA. I highly recommend using at least PETG (or ASA/ABS/PC if you can print them) for better heat resistance.

• Dyson Settings: It is crucial that you DO NOT use the highest temperature setting (the red dot) on the Dyson with printed parts. The highest setting can reach over 110°C, which will deform or melt almost any standard 3D filament.

• Tested Safe: The middle temperature setting is fine. I have tested my own attachments multiple times; the middle setting reaches exactly around 65°C, which PETG handles easily.
