This project started with the need for additional lighting in my AD5X (with enclosure). I decided to purchase a dual LED Kit from Amazon. the AD5X has an official light bar mount that mounts up front, but nothing for the sides.
I found a light mount that sort of worked (with several modifications) but then found my next issue. My LEDs were way too bright. I couldn't find anything that would help to shade the lights, so I decided to try something different. I made my own LED Mount.
This model fits a generic Dual LED strip kit I bought on Amazon in the slot, with enough room for cabling behind the LED Strip if you want to run the LEDs in Daisy Chain and use the chamber for wire management. This could also be used with adhesive LED strips as well.
I have tested the Diffuser in a couple filament combinations. Transparent does not reduce the Lighting too much, only a slight diffusing effect. White seemed too dim for my liking. My Preferred was 3 Layers of Transparent, 3 Layers of White, and 3 more layers of Transparent.
