This is my attempt to make adapters for the switches to work diagonally on grid. You can use this to build yard ladders or just using switches in diagonals generally.
Each switch needs 3 adapters to change the connector and for alignment. If you want to put two switches in a row diagonally you can print the "Extension" piece for in between the switches instead of a "Entrance" and "Straight Exit" piece. The "Extension" piece is not to be used in any other context because it has a very specific length.
Each piece is marked on the underside with rectangles, the rectangles are supposed to mean the exits of the switch, with the single exit being the entrance and thus single rectangle and the two rectangles being the side with two exits. The markings are on the side of the track that is supposed to be in contact with the switch.
Yard ladders built with these pieces are 28 studs apart by default but you can add a 4 stud long diagonal piece to make them the more standard 32 studs apart.
The pieces are universal for left/right/y switches.
In case of confusion take a look at the two examples configuration stls I made, one shows just the switch and the other one shows a full yard ladder.
