Why settle for boring L-brackets when your shelf can look like a bridge?
These wall-mounted shelf brackets are designed around the Warren truss — a triangulated structural pattern used in bridges and architecture since the 1800s. The diagonal geometry isn't just aesthetic; it's one of the most efficient ways to distribute load across a span, so these brackets are built with real engineering logic baked right in.
What's Included
The pack contains 4 files:
Shelf_Bracket.stl — The main bracket. Print at least 2 for a standard shelf, or more for longer runs.
10_Inch_Gap_Filler.stl — Spacer for shelves with a ~10" bracket spacing
15_Inch_Gap_Filler.stl — Spacer for ~15" spacing
20_Inch_Gap_Filler.stl — Spacer for ~20" spacing
The gap fillers allow you to prevent items from falling through behind the shelf. They are optional yet recommended.
Compatibility
Designed specifically for ~3/4" × 12". No modifications needed — just grab a board from any hardware store and mount up.
Print Settings (Recommended)
Material: PETG or PLA+ recommended for added rigidity
Infill: 30–60% — higher infill = stronger bracket
Walls: 4+ perimeters
Orientation: Print on it's side for best layer strength along the load direction
Supports: May be needed depending on your slicer
⚠ Note: This model has not been physically tested by the designer. Print at your own discretion, and always use appropriate wall anchors rated for your intended load. Start with lighter loads and assess before loading heavily.
Hardware Needed
Mounting holes: 0.22" (5.6mm) diameter — fits standard #10 wood screws or M5 bolts
Wall anchors appropriate for your wall type (drywall, masonry, etc.)
~3/4" × 12" board of your chosen length
