This is a remake add-on for the HP OTTO robot that allows it to float and move in water 🌊🤖.
By printing and attaching the included shell float parts, the robot gains enough buoyancy to swim in calm water (not recommended for strong waves). The floating parts are designed to be fully compatible with the original HP OTTO chassis, so no modifications to the main body are required.
⚙ How it works
The design adds a floating barrel and protective shells that help the robot stay on the water surface while the wheels provide movement.
🔧 Assembly
Assembly is quick and simple:
Replace the original wheels with the provided ones.
Attach the front legs that hold the floating barrel.
Replace line follower sensors with plugs.
And that’s it — your robot is ready for the water! 🌊
⚠ Note
The line-following sensors cannot be used in this configuration. Instead, you must insert the included plugs into the sensor openings.
