This is a project made to cultivate different varieties of chilli, but you can pretty much cultivate anything in it.

The other greenhouse models have no option to adjust humidity in them and as we all know, too much humidity inside might lead to seed or root rot.

So if you cultivate chilli, and especially different varieties that might sprout sooner and some might need more time. This is made so that you can cultivate and attend to needs of every single plant (or more plants with the same needs, if you decide to put more than one inside).

YOU WILL NEED:

A) 2 mm thick plexi glass. The dimensions you need to fill are as follows:

  • BOTTOM: 93x93 mm (suggested at least 1 mm play)

  • SIDES: 91x91 mm- try to be exact here!

  • TOP: 91x91 mm - enough clearnece.

if you have any concernes - just measure the inserts and cut to spec.

B) M15x3 bolt

  • to attach the top plexiglass to the top piece of greenhouse.

I suggest you fix the bottom with waterproof epoxy or silicone, i used neutral silicone so I can just spray water over my plants to water them and not care about leaks.

The lid on the top acts as vent. You can unscrew the chilli top a bit to loosen the lid and allow air to come out. You can control moisture in the greenhouse this way.

I used floor heating for seeds to germinate, therefore I have no clue if the model will whitstand heating mats. Proceed at your own risk if you want to use heat mat.

If you cultivate in pucks, you can use the puck stabilizer - if you move the greenhouse around.

Suggested build path:

  1. Glue the bottom

  2. Join 4 sides using L shaped joiners - try to get the edges of plexiglass with edges of Lshaped joints as flush as possible.

  3. You end up with 4 sides joint with L shape connectos - place those against the base. Slightly push them in so you get a seal - at this point you might need to readjust the joints in L shapes based on how flat you got it. Dont be afraid to reposition the pieces in joints if needed.

  4. Screw the top together.

  5. The top piece locks in place slightly (just by tolerances - mind your printer). you might need to "readjust" some of the L shaped joints  now inserted in the bottom - to get the top piece to snap in. If you didnt manage to get perfect 90 degrees (which you might not at first assembly) just fiddle with the joints in a way that you maintain fit of both the joints and top lid - so proportional joints.

Im gonna add some raiser using remaing plexiglass to raise it up to spec on windowsill.

Print in PETG for water resistance.
