I love my Tamron 70-200 G2, but I've noticed a number of times (especially when I'm using a dual camera harness) where it swings against my leg when it's not in use and the switches get moved. This leads to AF and VR not being on, and as a professional sports photographer this gets to be quite a pain.
In trying to come up with a solution, I found this model which basically does the exact thing I was going for. I wanted to clean it up and make it a bit more organic, but there were enough changes that I wanted to make that it ended up being easier to just recreate it from scratch. I used that model for some of the original dimensions, but then ended up tweaking them later.
This model is scaled to perfectly fit my lens snugly based on how it printed in ABS on my printer, but you may have to scale it ever so slightly to make sure it has a proper fit depending on your printer.

Installation:
- Remove tripod collar/foot
- Move all lens switches to be farthest from the camera mount end of the lens
- Slide switch guard on until it bumps the switches
- Insert small flathead screwdriver below switch, under the edge of the switch guard (See below photo)
- Gently pry up, being careful not to scratch the lens housing
- Work your way past each switch, sliding the switch towards the camera mount end of the lens and under the switch guard edge
- Once all switches are underneath or inside the switch guard, slide the switch guard as far down the lens as it will go
- Reinstall tripod collar/foot
