This is a replacement plunger for your Commodore 128 keyboard that allows you to use standard Cherry MX keycaps. Commodore 128 keys are increasingly difficult to source, so I came up with this design to allow you to replace your keycaps with any Cherry MX compatible keycap.
I believe they should work for any key on the keyboard, though I have not tested the lower keys. The differences between the top row and the main board seem to disappear when you replace the tip.
I had mine (white top row version) printed online using a low-viscosity resin (JLC Black Resin from JLC3DP) - I would not suggest using FDM printing, even if you can get the detail right, the layer adhesion can be problematic when trying to remove the keys (ask me how I know)
One thing to keep in mind with these stems is that they tend to be a bit floatier than the original ones, though I'm not exactly sure why... It may be an issue of printing tolerances, the ones I had printed have some thinner walls in places than the model, so you may have better luck. They still work fine, but they feel a bit different and might get lightly jammed if you hit it at a hard angle.
These are designed for a Cherry profile keycap, I used 9.5mm high keycaps for my top row. STEP files are included so you can easily tweak it if you need to.
I had some custom made online using the labels I also included... This uses a free font, TexGyreAdventor to closely simulate the style of the original Commodore 128 keyboard
The pictures are not representative of the files, the seller had to scale it down due to some limitations with dye sublimation, unfortunately, and getting a color match is going to be difficult. If anyone can find a better solution for custom keycaps that would do a better job on the labels or get a better color match, I'd love to see it in the comments.
