Spedal CL871 navigation bracket mounting adapter

A compact solution for fastening a Spedal CL871 touchscreen for Apple CarPlay / Android Auto to a common 22mm diameter bracket on my wife's Honda Transalp XL 750.

• 1x mounting bracket, upper part (printed)

• 1x mounting bracket, lower part (printed)

• 1x Spedal CL871 touchscreen

• 4x M3x35mm stainless screws, socket head

• a piece self-adhesive sealing type

• Alternative: some heat shrink or a piece of old bicycle inner tube

Tools used

• Screwdriver or allen-key suitable for your screws (should be a 2.5mm hexnut)

Suggested print settings

• Material: PETG/ABS/ASA

• Rafts: No

• Supports: No

• Resolution: 0.2mm

• Infill: 30% or higher

• Perimeters: 4 or more

Instructions

• Print mounting adapter parts (upper and lower)

• Install bracket on motorcycle

• Put a piece of self-adhesive sealing tape inside the mounting groove of the upper block

• Alternative: Wrap some heatshrink or bicycle inner tube around the 22m tube

• Install upper part of mounting adapter on the bracket

• Match lower part of mounting adapter on the opposite side

• Insert all four M3x35mm screws on the upper part

• Fasten all screws until they appear in the holes of the lower part

• Mount CL871 touchscreen on lower adapter part

• Fasten the screws until they are within the brass inserts of the touchscreen

• Rotate screen into end position

• Fasten all scews hand-tight

• If mounting bracket has too much play on 22mm tube, add more sealing tape / heat shrink / bicycle tube

• Install power cable of CL871 touchscreen
