Found an old iHome speaker and wanted to dock my iPod touch 2nd gen without damaging its port. Unfortunately without any adapter, its weight is ONLY held by the charging port. So i whipped this up and it worked a treat.
NOTE: I am aware the mesh isn't pretty, however during slicing it does not matter as there is no material waste. You are free to remesh it, solong as you use the proper licence below.
Some things to note:
This adapter is not made with cases in mind, meant the be used on a naked device.
Use a soft, but strong material like PLA to avoid any damage to the device. I am not at fault if you do not listen.
Do not use more then 10% infill and 2 walls. You want this to fail before your charger port incase you do something by mistake.
