Woodworking clamp replacement caps (boots)

Simple and yet useful. I was going to design this for years but finally sat down and did it.

This is a set of replacement caps for wood clamps compatible with any serial wood clamp which has circular ring diameter of 19mm and the shoe 18x24mm.

My clamps are from CONNEX 50x100mm and 50x150mm (5x15mm bar) but these are standard clamps and the caps fit also my old noname prehistoric clamps, which came with lost caps already.

Printing Instructions:

• Model files already face the clamping surface down (do not rotate!)

• For print plate I recommend textured PEI plate (firm grip) or smooth plate (no marks on wood)

• Print from flexible material, if you do not have it (like me), use at least PETG/ABS (these might crack)

• Infill: 50% or more

• Perimeters: 3

• No supports nor bridging neccessary

• Brim is not needed

If you are using PETG or ABS, the caps might crack when it is too cold or you apply a lot of force. The round cap should snap-on very easily as there is only a 0.25mm lip which it needs to overcome when pushing onto it.
