I made this mounting block for the Synology TC500 camera as an adapter between a standard articulating arm mount and the manufacturer base for the camera.
This model is, for all intents and purposes, a slightly beveled cylinder, printed with a high infill percentage, and then intended to absorb screws from each mounting bracket type.
Some notes on printing and installing:
I have printed mine in PLA with a 80% infill, but PETG would likely be even more robust.
The block is 75mm in diameter and 25mm thick, and 3/4" screws on the arm side, with 1" screws from the Camera side.
Both screw types were the counter sink style with a course thread.
Once printed, I used the mounting plates from each side of the system to mark the block and then pilot drill.
PLA Melts so plan to clean your bit. Also, don't over screw or it will crack the block (especially with high infill).
I had considered going back and making indents or pre-formed holes in the pattern of the brackets before publishing, but realized others might have different brackets that might not match up...so yeah it's a plastic cylinder of about the right size...
Final Thoughts:
This same problem could have been solved more or less the same way with a chunk of wood, but I had more filament lying around than lumber, so here is a properly sized thing that does the job.
