If you find yourself banging your head against the wall because of the lack of foresight by the designers of your home, you're not alone! Upon attempting to install a Babelio R30 ProFlex at the top and bottom of the stairs in my home, I discovered the designers, in their infinite wisdom, did not make the opposing walls protrude the same amount and/or enough on one side to properly mount a baby gate. "No problem," I thought, this model can swivel 180°, so I'll just mount the hinge bar 90° from the closed position on the face of the short wall. Well, that was a great idea in theory, but had I properly followed step one of the installation instructions, "Measure the intended installation location to ensure it is less than the maximum extension of the gate." It was only after drilling holes and mounting the hinge bar to the wall that I realized mounting the bar to the face of the short wall resulted in the total distance needing to be covered by the gate about 5cm wider than the gate's maximum extension. Fortunately, I have a 3D printer and can design and print a solution to this semi-self-induced problem!
A couple hours of CAD and a few iterations later and voila! A 90° offset bracket for the R30 ProFlex! In the unlikely event that you've found yourself in this exact predicament, I have the solution for you!
Hardware Required
(4x) M4x20mm Button Head Screws
(4x) M4 Nyloc Nuts (standard nuts will also work)
(4x) M4 or #8 Flat Head Wood Screw (these are supplied with the gate; use either the short or the long, depending on your specific installation application)
(1x) Babelio R30 ProFlex Hinge Bar (and presumably, the rest of the baby gate)
(1x) Printed 90° offset bracket TOP
(1x) Printed 90° offset bracket BOTTOM
Print Recommendations
PETG or another strong/durable material
0.4mm nozzle
3 perimeters
15% cubic infill
Paint-on organic supports (see screenshot below for paint-on location; use smart fill set to 2°)

Installation Instructions
Install the M4 nuts into the nut pockets on the top and bottom offset brackets. Pro Tip: You can use the tip of the #2 Phillips driver/bit to seat the nuts fully into the pockets.
Mark and pre-drill the mounting hole locations; use drywall anchors if necessary. Pro Tip: The hole spacing in the offset bracket is the exact same as on the gate brackets and is on level with the gate bracket mounting holes, so you can use the hinge bar and brackets to mark the mounting hole locations.
Install the offset brackets (one top, one bottom) onto the wall using either (depending on your application/installation location) the short or long M4/#8 flat head wood screws (included with the baby gate). Pro Tip: You will need a #2 Phillips screwdriver or bit with at least an 8 cm shank in order to reach the recessed screw in the gate-bracket mounting face of the offset bracket; a shorter shank driver/bit will likely cause the driver/bit to be at too harsh an angle to properly engage the head of the screw.
Install the bushing into the gate-bracket mounting face; the rounded face of the bushing should mate with the rounded face of the recess in the offset bracket, creating a flat surface for the gate's mounting bracket to mate with (see the last photo in the series of photos at the top of this page for reference).
Slide the two mounting brackets on the hinge bar of the baby gate into the recessed face of the offset brackets. Secure with the four M4x20mm button head screws.
Continue with the remainder of the installation of the baby gate according to the manufacturer's instructions.
