Always Within Reach
This simple headphones stand keeps your headphones at arms reach and provides a simple passthrough hole to keep the cable nice and tidy! Designed to work with 3.5mm audio jack cables, however I've included the CAD files in case you wish to replace the hole with something able to accommodate USB only headphones. Designed with a compliant mechanism to keep it clamped to the side of your desk, this model is easy to install and remove!
NOTE: The model is designed for desks approximately 27mm thick! Adjust the FreeCAD file included if you need to adjust how it fits your desk thickness.
Print Settings
When it comes to material, I recommend PETG or possibly ABS/ASA. PLA is notorious for failure under constant load, and will barely last a few days before becoming useless. Print with the holder on its side. infill is not really important for this model, and if you wish for the spring to be a bit stiffer, print with additional walls or 100% infill at the spring for greater clamping force.
