I cut my IKEA IVAR side units so the shelf can fit under some ductwork. I changed my mind about the shelf location and wanted to re-attach the pieces I cut so I designed these brackets.
Not sure if anybody else would ever be in the same situation, but thought I might as well share.
How it works:
4x #6 screw holes to secure each corner post to the bracket.
2 holes on the back which uses the existing IVAR pin holes to keep the brackets in position while screwing. The pins can be removed after.
The shelves likely won't fit onto the side units on the bracket side, but the bracket only covers two holes.
The bracket itself is not load bearing. It simply braces the side unit pieces together and the load continues to travel down the side unit itself.
Printing:
Print in a vertical orientation as shown in the picture, like how the bracket would be used. This gives the print the most strength
Max walls/infill (3 walls should fill)
Brim recommended
