A few rough outlines how this design originated:
scanned with Einscan Rigil in laser mode (no scan spray used)
whole reverse engineering process was done within Quicksurface Pro (even the CAD part so Pro was needed)
Main RE steps:
Import & Alignment
Creation of base bodies by sketching & extruding
Creating cutouts by rotating sketches
Thread creation & final fillets
After finishing the design I simply exported as .step and printed it from foodsafe PETG on my Creality K2 Part is now in use for roughly 4 months and there are no signs of damage or abrasion till now.
