The Ultimate Teardown Companion Whether you are repairing a smartphone, tearing down a laptop, building a custom keyboard, or working on RC gear, keeping track of different screw lengths and tiny components is the hardest part of the job.

This Electronics Disassembly Tray was designed in CAD specifically to solve that problem. The layout features five small front compartments dedicated to isolating screws step-by-step as you disassemble a device, ensuring you know exactly which screw goes back into which hole. The three long rear compartments are perfectly sized for holding your tweezers, spudgers, precision screwdrivers, or larger removed components like ribbon cables and batteries.

Engineered for Makers This isn't just a basic box; it is highly optimized for desktop 3D printing and everyday workbench use. The bottom interior edges of the compartments feature smooth transitions, allowing you to easily slide tiny screws up and out with a finger or tweezers without them getting stuck in sharp 90-degree corners.

Key Features:

  • Step-by-Step Sorting: 5 small front bins keep different screw types isolated during disassembly.

  • Tool Storage: 3 long rear bins hold precision drivers, tweezers, and larger parts.

  • Scoopable Edges: Internal geometry is designed to easily slide tiny screws out.

  • 100% Support-Free: Prints perfectly flat on your build plate with zero overhang issues.

  • Rigid CAD Design: Features thick outer walls and chamfered corners for a premium, heavy-duty feel on the workbench.

Print Settings & Instructions

This model is highly optimized and slices cleanly in OrcaSlicer or Bambu Studio.

  • Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS (Matte filament looks exceptionally good and hides scratches from tools).

  • Layer Height: 0.20mm to 0.28mm (0.28mm prints fast and keeps the structural walls incredibly strong).

  • Wall Loops (Perimeters): 3 walls are recommended for a sturdy, rigid tray.

  • Infill: 10% to 15% Gyroid or Grid.

  • Supports: NONE. Make sure supports are disabled in your slicer.

  • Brim: Not required unless you struggle with corner warping on large flat prints.
