A compact storage box for the thumbstick caps of BSP gamepads. Comes with a cap puller too.
If you were foolish enough (like me) to have bought the BSP-D8+ gamepad, you might've noticed that the extra thumbstick caps come in a plastic bag. Why not store them in something more respectable and stylish?
Features:
Storage for four different pairs of thumbstick caps
Cap puller with two different anchors - choose between parallel or perpendicular orientation when pulling
Spring-loaded latch
Print-in-place hinge mechanism
Print notes:
Tested with PLA
Make sure to enable whatever setting that allows the printing of thin walls in your slicer, or else the spring won't print
Supports needed? - No
You might notice the box might not close fully due to tight tolerances in the hinge
This is normal, just close it and place something heavy on it for a few hours to let it "break-in"
I've adjusted and tested this model countless times, and the only way to have it close fully without “break-in" is to either make the hinge mechanism bigger, or make the tolerances so large that the entire box becomes rattly and loose
If you have experience with modelling and printing tiny print-in-place hinges, feel free to share your tips!
By the way, if you haven't yet, don't buy the BSP-D8+. It's a disappointment.
