A replacement top cap with an integrated pull-up grip for a pop-up socket.

On these pop-up sockets the top cap is the first thing to fail. It's the only part you ever touch, it takes the full pull every single time, and it's usually thin moulded plastic. Once the grip snaps off there's nothing left to pull on — and a spare part is either unavailable or costs a large fraction of a whole new unit.

This is a printed replacement. It bolts onto the aluminium column using the original screws and the original screw channels, so nothing has to be drilled or modified. The unit keeps working exactly as before.

Compatibility

Unit

3× EU socket pop-up column, LED indicator, IP20, 2 m cable

Part no. / EAN

4731675 / 8591636012373 (FK technics, CZ)

Column outer diameter

94 mm (measured)

Mounting hole in worktop

100 mm (per label)

Screws

original, 2× countersunk

⚠ The number that matters is the 94 mm column diameter, not the 100 mm on the label — 100 mm is the hole cut in the worktop, and the column itself is narrower. Measure your own column before printing.

This exact unit is sold across Europe under several different brands and part numbers from the same factory, so there's a fair chance it fits yours too. Check the 94 mm diameter and the screw spacing before you print.

File

pop_up_socket_lid.stl — one part, print 1×.

Print settings

  • Material: PETG or ASA. Don't use PLA — this part is under sustained pull, it sits in a worktop that can get warm, and PLA creeps and then snaps.

  • Layer height: 0.1 mm

  • Perimeters: 5 — the grip is loaded across the layers, so wall count matters far more than infill here

  • Infill: 15 %

  • Supports: none needed

  • Orientation: disc flat on the bed, grip pointing up. Clean visible top face, no supports needed.
