A fully adjustable 3D-printable desk mount designed for the Thrustmaster SimTask FarmStick.

The mount features two mounting angles, 20° and 25°, allowing you to choose the position that feels most comfortable for your setup.

The entire mount can be adjusted forward and backward parallel to the edge of the desk, while the FarmStick is attached using an adjustable wedge system.

The wedge system not only provides additional forward/backward adjustment, but also works as a simple quick-release system. This makes it possible to quickly separate the FarmStick from the desk mount without having to remove the entire mounting system from the desk.

Why I Designed This

I had been looking for a good way to mount my FarmStick on my desk in a comfortable and natural position, so it wouldn't feel awkward to use while playing.

After searching around, I couldn't quite find a solution that worked the way I wanted. However, I came across Hustln's Thrustmaster Joystick Quick Release Mount, which looked very promising and gave me inspiration for my own design.

So, with his design in mind, I decided to create my own version, focusing on the positioning and adjustability I wanted for my setup.

I also wanted a quick and simple way to separate the FarmStick from the desk mount, which led me to use a wedge system. This allows the FarmStick to slide on and off the mount without having to remove the entire desk mount, making it much easier to store the FarmStick when it's not in use without having the whole assembly taking up space on the desk.

Features

  • Designed for the Thrustmaster SimTask FarmStick

  • Choice between 20° and 25° mounting angles

  • Main desk mount can be adjusted forward and backward

  • FarmStick position can be adjusted independently using the wedge system

  • Quick-release wedge system for easily removing the FarmStick

  • Desk mount can stay attached when the FarmStick is removed

  • Quick and easy attachment to the desk

  • Uses a small quick-action clamp underneath the desk

  • Ø15 mm felt pads help provide grip and protect the desk

  • Designed and tested on a 25 mm thick desk

  • My version was printed entirely in PETG

Adjustment

There are two separate forward/backward adjustments built into the design.

The main desk mount can be moved forward or backward parallel to the edge of the desk. This allows you to change the overall position of the FarmStick.

The wedge system provides a second adjustment between the FarmStick and the desk mount, allowing you to fine-tune the FarmStick position independently.

The mount also provides a choice between a 20° or 25° angle, depending on which position you prefer.

Quick-Release Wedge System

The FarmStick is attached to a separate adapter plate which slides into the wedge system on the desk mount.

I chose this system because I wanted the FarmStick to be easy to remove when I'm not using it.

Instead of removing the entire mount from the desk, the FarmStick and its adapter plate can simply be separated from the desk mount. This makes the setup easier to store and means the complete assembly doesn't have to take up space on the desk when the FarmStick isn't being used.

The wedge system also allows the FarmStick position to be adjusted forward and backward before securing it in the desired position.

Parts & Hardware I Used

These are the screws, hardware and other parts I used for my build:

  • 6× M4 × 25 mm flat head screws

  • 4× M5 × 25 mm flat head screws

  • 4× M4 × 10 mm flat head screws

  • 4× M4 × 6 mm countersunk screws

  • 2× M6 × 16 mm countersunk screws

  • Ø15 mm felt pads

  • 1× small quick-action clamp

I used the Ø15 mm felt pads on the contact surfaces to help prevent the mount from sliding and to protect the desk from scratches.

My complete mount was printed in PETG.

Desk Compatibility

I designed and tested the mount on my 25 mm thick desk.

The clamp system is adjustable and may work with other desk thicknesses as well, but 25 mm is the desk thickness I designed and tested it with.
