The Xiegu G90 is a popular portable HF Transceiver. Unfortunately, it uses an SO-239 Connector for the Antenna port, which some of us operators (especially the QRP enthusiasts) don't like.
I personally prefer to use BNC for anything that isn't a 100 Watt radio so I made this plate that allows the SO-239 Connector to be swapped with a panel mount BNC connector. (https://a.co/d/0a9uGZUT)
You have two options for how to do this:
Download and print the STL file (preferably in PETG or ASA)
Download the PDF template, print out and cut it out of a piece of Aluminum. 2mm or 1/8" thick plate preferred.
If you elect to cutout the aluminum, you will need to use a file to shape the center hole to key the BNC connector. Start with an 8mm (5/16") hole then widen it with a round file and flatten the top and bottom with a flat file. Do this until it fits.
To install, Remove the bottom and back plate. Desolder the center terminal wire from the PCB then unscrew the screws holding the SO-239 connector to the back plate. Desolder the screw tab that grounds the connector from the board. Add some wire to both the center terminal and ground tab of the BNC connector then install the connector to the back plate using the aluminum/plastic plate. Reinstall the back plate then solder the wires back in place. Close up the radio.
