Print your own notebook and put 25-50 sheets of A4 or US Letter (8.5" x 11") paper folded in half inside for a total of 50-100 usable A5 or US Half Letter (5.5" x 8.5") sheets depending on the spine you pick.
Print two of any same-size cover, one spine, and stick some filament in the hinges to keep it together. Add a rubber band and some paper and you're ready to start writing or drawing.
I did not have to do anything fancy to get the filament to stay in the hinge, but was planning on using either the nozzle on my printer or my 3d pen to melt the ends of the filament a little to adhere it to the hinge.
Pictured is the US Letter size with the hinge designed to hold 50 pages (25 folded us letter sheets).
