This is a special spacer to stop the tablet and mount from bouncing around when going over rough terrain. The spacer works by spreading the load over the whole top cross section of the instrument cluster/tower. The 450MT's tower is made of plastic and flex's alot which causes the DMD tablet to shake. The top of the tower is not perfectly flat, so a gap is present, allowing alot of movement, back and forth. The spacer removes the that gap and allows the DMD2 mount to sit flat.
