I wanted to repurpose a few fans from old afterburner 5015 mods that need the fan torn down almost entirely (loudowl). Not sure if some brands will fit differently but I've included 2 versions. One version used for fan housings with a removable plug to get to the fan hub's retaining clip and one without. I recommend printing one of each and test fitting to see what works best.
I've now tested it in an afterburner housing and it fits perfectly.
This mod is based on Blinkingsun's dual 5015 housing- https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5376294
You'll need to cut away all of the lower fan housing down to the fan pcb (be careful not to bend the shaft) and use a few dots of superglue to secure everything to the housing. make sure everything's running smoothly and you'll be good to go.
