Here's an easy to build future combadge originally made famous from the TNG finale and now being featured on Star Trek: Prodigy.
Update April 19 2024 - Added the Prodigy tag.
Update December 15 2023 - Made the overall badge slightly thicker to bring it in line with other badges and to give it a better look and feel. New parts have v2 in the name.
No supports required. Uses 6x2mm magnets. Split for painting or printing in different colors.
The tricky part is gluing the delta to the bars because there is little width on the delta's flat parts and its easy for the glue to bleed over onto the bars. So instead, use a fine tip like a pin to apply tiny amounts to the inner side walls of the delta and very carefully attach the bars.
Includes a magnet back and a display stand with 3 tag options.
I printed everything at .2mm layer height. For the delta I used concentric for the bottom infill pattern, which is the front face of the badge. The bars were printed with 1 perimeter at 100% infill, and the top rectilinear pattern was angled to run along the length of the bars, making for a nice even finish.
