I created this motor mount for the creativity elf/coreception 300 to mount 48mm steppers without major modifications.
print in a high temp filament that will not creep (ex: abs,asa,pc,other.) I printed mine in push plastics CF PC+PBT but less exotic filaments will do.
you will need (per mount):
7x 3mm heat inserts
4x 6-12mm m3 screws (to mount the bottom to the motor)
3x 6mm m3 screws (to mount top to the bottom)
4x countersunk m3 screws (stock motor mounting screws will work)
installation instructions:
- use the 6-12mm screws to mount the bottom to the motor
- install the belt onto the motor pulley
- use the 6mm screws to attach the top plate to the bottom mount
- attach the assembly to the frame using the stock mounting screws
other notes:
it is recommended to install the heat inserts into the bottom of the top plate so they dont protrude. Expected orientation can be seen in the 4th and 5th images.
any 48mm nema17 motor should do but i recommend LDO for high performance steppers.
