Protective caps for ropes (docking lines, sheets, running rigging, etc).
Handy when using with constrictor clutches (such as those by Cousin-Trestec or Ronstan).

Printing
Use very slow speed, both inner and outer brim, no supports.
The filament can be either flexible or rigid, ideally opaque and UV-resistant.
Installation
- Put a thin zip tie on the rope's end
- Soak the very tip of the rope in resin, let it cure
- Remove the zip tie
- Use knife or file to reduce the diameter of the hardened end
- Put a bit of adhesive inside the cap
- Light the rope's tip on fire to achieve chemical binding
- While the rope's tip is soft and aflame, stuff the rope's end into the cap
- Let it cure
