A quick and dirty button box for the F5 Tiger. I mainly fly in DCS in VR, so having a button box which I can feel through means I don't need to spend at least 2 seconds looking away and releasing my joystick to control the mouse.
It's an easy print. It uses 5x M4x8mm bolts to bolt on the legs, and depending on your base plate you'll need hardware there too. I used a piece of MDF (190x80x8mm) which I had laying around.
For the switches, the (on)-off-(on) toggles are MTS-123 from aliexpress, the push buttons (x2) are PS-102, also from aliexpress. Encoders (x3) are PEC-11H, proper encoders with quite heavy detents. To install those toggles hats, stick them on the end of a drill bit or something something, and heat them up gently with a flame. When sufficient warm, slide them onto the toggles and use your hands to form them. Of course the plastic will be warm so watch out.
As for the micro controllers, you can use simhub and wire those switches and toggles in a button matrix, or mmjoy, so you can make use of diodes in the matrices or shift registers to handle the buttons.
In the folder there will be 2 panels available. One with text built in the model. You can use the change filament at layer height function in your slicer to have it look like mine. Or you can use the smooth model to use stickers of your own. OBJ available for the smooth model so you can add your own text.
