Why Did I make This?
The semi enclosed version of the case where you only take the middle layer is very susceptible to dust. Because I live in a dusty basement in a humid city so the dust gets stuck on there real bad and I'm sick of taking apart the keyboard to give it a deep clean every few months so I made myself a solution.
Issues
- Cover not tall enough for rotary encoders with knobs
- Material cost and print time higher than such an accessory should be
- RGB Doesn't shine through semi transparent materials because walls are too thick (may work with fully transparent materials)
- Cover only compatible with semi enclosed case (Only Middle Layer)
- Dust cover is only semi effective when the keyboard is not meshed together with the other half there are downsides to completely closing off each half of the cover I decided this was the best way for me to do it.
Will fix the first 3 issues if i make a version 2 Anyone who wants a dust cover for fully enclosed case you will have to remix or make your own design.
Version 2 should come soon as I designed it in a way that makes most of these issues an easy fix also adding a model for users of the keebio sinc without the left macro cluster in version 2.
