The original models were intended to be used with self-tapping screws, however for me was easier to source threaded inserts along with regular bolts.
I've ordered mine from CNC Kitchen store. M2.5 and M3 (both long and short versions) will work, since the modeled hole for the inserts is ⌀4mm in diameter. You can use any type of bolt you like —I've used M3x6mm DIN7380—, along with some washers (DIN125) matching size with the threaded insert and bolt of your chose.
