Quad Lock successfully sells bicycle mounts, however these are only available to be mounted either on the handlebars or on the stem tube with some sort of an O-ring.
I was looking for some more “stealth” way to mount the Quad Lock when I thought of using it as a stem cap.
This part allows you to center any Quad Lock system onto the stem to screw it down as a top cap. It was primarily designed for my gravel bike, a Canyon Grizl 7 AL and hence best fits any fork that has a 26.8mm inner diameter. The adapter is designed to fit the stock M4 bolt that comes with the Grizl but could be drilled out to a bigger diameter in case you need or want to use it with an M5 bolt. I tried to make the adapter as thin as possible not to add a lot of extra height to the already somehow bulky Quad Lock system. Hence, the adapter only adds an extra 2mm.
This adapter might not fit all forks so I'll be glad to make it fit to other standards upon request; please reach out if you have any other bike you'd like to make it work with.
I printed this in PETG with 0,2mm layers and supports on the bed on my Prusa MINI. Fit is nice and tight and no post-processing it required (except support removal). It would work just fine with PLA but since it doesn't like to sit outside for a long time I thought I'd go extra safe.
