FT25 is a fidget toy that looks like an on/off switch.
It works best with neodymium magnets assembled in cylindrical slots*. You need 8 magnets (5mm in diameter, 3mm high). Magnets should attract each other (it's very important for the hinge pairs), but you can experiment, as different setups give different experiences of the toy.
ON/OFF magnets setups:
- attraction - it makes loud and firm clicks,
- repulsion - it's silent and springy,
- mixed - the spring effect is very strong on repulsion side; loudness depends on how you play;
Both base and moving part can be printed without any supports with moving part printed on the side.
