Peter Ganine "Classic" Chessmen Replicas

This is a replica of the famous Peter Ganine designed chess set that was used on the set of Star Trek for several episodes.  The real thing occasionally comes up on sites like ebay for over $1000.  There has been a model available on thingiverse for some time (I'm sure you can find the link on your own), however the models are not as accurate or high quality as what I am making available here.

All pieces are based on numerous reference photos traced and modeled in blender then where possible checked for dimensional accuracy with a scan of original pieces that I briefly had access to.  The knight began entirely as a scan using a revopoint miraco pro and then blender was used to fill in the gaps and smooth out the base and enhance details.  

These are very high resolution models but do not include the casting lines or copyright information of the originals as these details couldn't accurately be picked up in my scans.

I recommend printing these in resin, lightly sanded on the outside, sealed with a high gloss coat and given proper self adhesive felt on the bottom.
