LEGO Technic 1:8 Wall Mount

3D Wall Mount for LEGO Technic 1:8 Cars or Alternative Bricks' Sets or MOCs

Intention of the models:

The main idea was to design a wall mount for a few of my 1:8 LEGO/Alternative Sets to display it unconventionally and be easily accessible. All the found mounts display the set either from the side or the top (2D). 

So I tried it designing it with enough clearance to the wall, with a thought of showing most of the sides of the Sets and not be too far extended (3D). The other consideration was easiness of the placing/removing the sets from the wall mounts.  

Cars are placed onto the extended pins/walls that fit tightly to the underside of the sets. No additional Lego parts are used, so The Sets can be easily shown to the relatives, that wonder where all of your money gone.

This model has slider panels for the following sets:

Other Sets will be added in the future. Or can be easily adjusted for your own sets with the provided files.

Printing Details:

• Infill:
  • The universal wall mount, infill can be set to 10-15% with your preferred infill pattern (all the pictured models printed with Gyroid)
  • The Slider Panels, infill can be set to 10-15% with your preferred infill pattern (all the pictured models printed with Gyroid)
• Walls: Wall amount is set to 2 — both for slider and wall mount.
• Supports: All the models printed WITHOUT any supports. But enabling it could improve a small part of the overhangs.

• Filament: Printed with SUNLU PLA Meta Blue-Gray
• Placement: 
  • The wall mounts should be positioned on the wall-touching side of the build plate and with this positioning 4 of the mounts fit on the standard 250×250×250 plate.

• Slider Panels should be positioned on the flat side and with this positioning 3 of the slider panels fit on the standard 250×250×250 plate.

Tools:

• No tools required for assembly of the model (only for wall mounting). 
• Screwdriver
• Drill
• At least 3.0 mm diameter screws.

Assembly:

• Slider Panels are designed with 0.5 mm tolerances to slide easily into wall mount. The 3 flat-bottom-pins should slide into the designated cut-out (refer to the GIFs that are added with the model). 
• NOTE:  Slider Panels should be inserted after the wall mounts were secured to the wall, as it is easier to reach for the screws without the slider panels.

Mounting:

• In my case, the wall mounts are secured with 2 of 4,0×40 mm or 2 of 5,0×50 mm screw (different sizes and length tested). Wall material — concrete + clay bricks. 
• Attached wall mount holds my own weight (65 kg) while holding on the sides of the wall mount. So the Technic Sets weight will be hold without any problems.
