Thank you to slayernine for the first make on this model!

If you print this, please post a make, leave a like, and comment. I would love to see someone else print this, and, get some feedback maybe.

After using zen13's coin stand for about three years, I decided to try my hand at it. I basically modernized his design (this is not a remix, I just used his model as inspiration). What I ended up with was a simple, modern take on a challenge coin stand. It's nice, smooth and visually pleasing.

After slayernine's feedback, I have added another version with a flattened bottom for easier FDM printing.

I have printed it myself and it looks absolutely amazing especially in silk filament. The regular version might require some variable layer height or supports, but even if the bottom is messed up, no one will see it anyway because you have to lift up the model and look at the bottom.

It is scalable, and in my testing I found that to scale for different coins, you should scale the stand so it's height is a little less than the coin's diameter, about four-fifth's of the coin's diameter . You do need to lay the regular version flat in the slicer because otherwise it's back leg won't touch the build plate.

As I said before, I have printed this, but do not have the time to take and post pictures at this time.

You cannot sell this.

Good luck to all downloaders out there, and happy printing.
