Compatibility

This bin is compatible with the iFixit Precision Tweezers Set and probably a lot of other tweezers.

General

It is 1 x 4 x 3 Gridfinity units in size which corresponds to a size of 42 x 168 x 21 mm + rim heigth. The height was choosen to match the great work of Clough42. It is not stackable when the tweezers are inserted, therefore a version without the top rim is included. There are no holes for magnets or screws, because I dont use or plan to use them in the future. For me the bins work fine with just the Superlight Baseplates. In case I want something more secure, like … when I move to an earthquake prone region, I would use Clickfinity baseplates.

To allow for modification STEP files are included though.

Printing

I print my bins with a 0.4mm nozzle in PLA using a first layer height of 0.2 mm and a regular layer height of 0.3 mm. I Further use 2 perimeters and 15% infill. The bottom squares are connected around the outside with a 0.1 mm wide line to ensure proper brim generation if required. If brim is turned of, those will be ignored by the slicer.

Acknowledgments

This model is a remake of this model from JT_311. I would have used that one, if it had matched my prefered height.

The base bin is generated with the great FreeCAD Gridfinity Workbench.
