One of the cheapest options for dust collection in home woodworking shops is to use readily available and cheap PVC drain pipe. The problem is that most dust collection fittings are not made for these pipes (though that seems to be changing). This print is a simple adapter that connects to 4-in PVC drain pipe and provides a threaded attachment to standard 4" flexible hose.
4-in PVC drain pipe has an inner diameter of 4 inches and an outer diameter of 4.215 inches. Flexible dust collection hose has an inner diameter of 4 inches, so there is a disjoint with being able to use the two products together without this adapter.
While this adapter is threaded, it is only loosely so to provide grip for the hose. A separate 4-inch hose clamp will be required to keep the hose attached to the adapter.
I printed these in black PLA+ with 25% infill using no supports. Print the adapter upside-down, that is, with the larger diameter end on the print bed. I used a 4mm brim to help keep the print on the bed surface during printing.
